As people start emerging from their post-xmas cocoons, this month has loads to do whether you're a star crossed lover or a lonely heart. Some great bands are passing through, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (7th, Coalition), InMe (23rd, Concorde 2), Melissa Etheridge (19th, Dome)  and We Have Band (25th, Sticky Mike's Frog Bar) are amongst them. If you've got your dancing shoes to hand make sure you check out Electric Cocktail (3rd, Komedia), Songs For The Deaf (4th, Pav Tav), Pop Not Pop (11th, Green Door Store) and Switch Up (Wednesdays, The Volks). For culture vultures, the Theatre Royal broadcasts 'The Kings Speech' (27th to 1st March) and the Brighton Science Festival runs throughout Feb at various venues. Modelworld 2012 is at The Centre from 24th to 26th and the Cowleigh Club screens the documentary 'This Is Hawkwind Do Not Panic' with an introduction from original member Nik Turner on the 29th. Lovely.
