Coggings & Co

There is a new kid on the block and they are to be found in Seven Dials which transformed completely in 2014 to become a hub of eclectic businesses and is fast becoming a destination both for day and night. New addition Coggins & Co was opened by local business man Andrew Coggins who previously owned and developed the renowned Preston Park Tavern as well as an exceptional career within the hospitality industry.  Fantastic selection of burgers with good meaty texture and seasoned, beautifully presented on a wooden board. There’s an option for gluten free baps and all the burgers are gluten free regardless, the drinks a mixture of freshly made milkshakes and soft drinks in jam jars with handles. The food experience is a positive one and in addition the actual restaurant has been well thought through. 

Harry Ramsdens

Harry Ramsden’s opened its doors on Marine Parade in Brighton in the Summer of 2000. Superbly located opposite the Brighton pier, Harry Ramsden’s soon became a prime feature of Brighton’s seafront. To this day it is still a favourite with visiting coaches, tourists and local residents. The Restaurant and takeaway re-launched in mid-December 2014 with an improved menu. Come and check it out!


Coast is a small independent Steak House in the heart of Brighton – home of the slow roasted ribs and delicious freshly made meals to satisfy all cravings. All of the dishes are made in-house with ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Steaks are seasoned for 24 hours in their secret seasoning then grilled to perfection and ribs are served with their unique glazes – they guarantee you will not find better ribs in Brighton.

Big Bang Burrito at The Sidewinder

Mexican street food has become the culinary sensation of late. The Sidewinder brings it to a Brighton pub for the first time. Head chef Matt Young, after 4 years working on the Mexican border, is fiercely authentic in his take on burritos, quesadillas, tostadas and more. He will be adding daily specials including the freshest day’s fish.

Burger Brothers

Burger Brothers is a “must try” experience for all lovers of honest, tasty cuisine. With a menu packed full of indulgent flavours and winning combinations, the Burger Brothers are really making their mark on Brighton’s vibrant and bustling North Laine food district.

Delivered in a fresh and welcoming environment, all Brothers’ beef/veggie patties and chicken fillets are prepared on the premises from fresh, premium, locally-sourced produce and cooked to order.

El Mexicano

Opened in 199, El Mexican0 prides itself on being the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Brighton & Hove. Dishes are made freshly on the premises, where possible with the freshest locally sourced produce. They do a great every day lunch offer with any two tapas and glass of wine £6.95. Or grab a burrito (Chicken or veg) and a beer for £8.95.

VIP Pizza

As well as trattoria, VIP is quickly becoming a hub in Brighton’s Italian community, operating as a deli, with the opportunity to buy their own produce alongside imported goods, and takeaway. At the rustic tables you can choose from an eclectic selection of traditional fare like scicilian arancini using authentic ingredients like 00 flour and lievito madre yeast in their hallmark lighter pizza base giving better digestibility.


Whether you’ve popped in for breakfast, a quick coffee, lunch whilst chilling or hanging out with friends, you get the same lovely welcome. They are fabulous with kids, spoiling them with special drinks and treats. The owner has a plethora of cool objects and art dotted around the New York feel interior. A great beer garden too!

This Italian restaurant is family friendly and family run! This was the first restaurant we took the family on moving to Brighton. It has remained a haven for all, being very popular with Brighton residents as well as visitors. It serves reasonably priced food (excellent range of pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes) and my nose hasn’t grown a millimetre!
